The Career Development Team helps students identify career paths that align with their interests and strengths. We help you develop career readiness skills and facilitate a successful transition into the workforce. Whether you are “undecided” or “very focused” on your career choices, SPC Career Services can help you define or refine your path.

Career Services can help you:
  • Career Exploration: Students will understand Career Coach and the importance of taking the career assessment to identify careers that align with their strengths and interests.   Students will also learn how their chosen careers align with SPC majors.  
  • Personal Branding: Students will learn how to best market themselves in social and digital settings, craft an elevator speech, and set up an online presence.
  • Resume Writing: Students will create an effective resume that best fits their personal experience/qualifications and is tailored to the specific field they are pursuing with the goal of obtaining an interview.   
  • Job/Internship Search & Networking Strategies: Students will demonstrate an understanding of job/internship search and networking methods and how to implement effective strategies with the goal of empowering students to pursue internship/job placement in their chosen field.
  • Interview Preparation: Students will learn how to navigate the interview process in both face-to-face and virtual platforms.

Events

Career Development regularly schedules events collegewide on campus and via Zoom.  Check out the Titan Connect Events website to see a calendar of career development events. Join the “Career Development Center” organization for additional information.
